LIVELIHOOD & LIFE SKILL PROGRAM

Base on CDHS survey 2013 found that 68% of Cambodian youth are dependency due less of goal orientation, droop out of school under secondary and upper-secondary school, low income generation, mismatch of employment, with specialize graduated.

BSD will set-up the project to respond these issues:

1-Short-term vocational training and life skill for the most deprive children/youth to build their skill and to run small business to earn income make them more independence.

2-Capacity building to poorest family on vegetable and fruit growing skill to make them more active beside of rice growing.

I_ Provide the vocational training and life skill for the most deprive children/youth to build their skill and to run small business to earn income make them more independence.

The skill will be separated into two part:

A_ Soft-skill training: The related training topic such Goal oriented, motivation skill, self-esteem.

B_ Hard skill training:

1.     Haired cutting skill

2.     Sewing skill

3.     Chef and cookie skill

4.     Fruit juice and sweet made

II_ Capacity building to poorest family on vegetable and fruit growing skill to make them more active beside of rice growing.

1.     Select the 10 to 20 poorest families in remote area for joint the training growing skill under facilitation of BSD staff and in partnership with District Agriculture Office.

2.     Provide the vegetable and fruit seed and on the job learning conducting at field farm.

3.     Regularly follow –up the progress of growing with target group

4.     Establish SHG(Self-help Group) and market to sell the vegetable and fruit
